Earlier this year, StoneCoat debuted its Fusion structural insulated sheathing system, featuring a single panel meant to replace four layers of materials used in traditional exterior wall systems: exterior insulation, OSB sheathing, waterproof and vapor barriers and metal lath.

The system comprises structural insulated sheathing and integrated masonry backing, and the lightweight panels are compatible with most exterior claddings. R10 insulation with a 2-inch exterior foam comes standard in the Fusion system, with up to R30 insulation with 6-inch thickness available as well. The panels also resist cracking, rotting and mold compared to traditional building materials, according to StoneCoat.

The company also says Fusion is a sustainable, carbon-neutral system, as the laminate is made from recycled petroleum products. The panels are compatible with any product in the StoneCoat building system.
