IRE Product of the Week: Novatik Natura Stone Coated Metal Roofing Panels

Novatik’s Natura line recently released its fifth profile of stone-coated metal roofing panels, Novatik Natura Stone. With its Natura products, the company seeks to combine the appearance of traditional stone or slate panels and the benefits of metal roofing.  

Natura tiles consist of a steel core, a layer of aluminum zinc on both sides to protect against corrosion, another protective layer of acrylic resin, all covered with volcanic rock chips that have been color-treated up to a temperature of 900 C, or 1652 F. A transparent acrylic coating is then added for increased mechanical strength and aesthetics, says Novatik. The modular metal roofing sheets—available in four profiles in addition to the newest Stone—allow roofers to mix and match styles and are recommended for a roof pitch of at least 12 degrees. Natura Stone is available in two colors: dark moon and graphite grey.   

Made of recycled materials and able to be recycled again at the end of their useful life, according to the Novatik, the Natura range also has complementary accessories, including trim, ridges, flashing and more. Novatik provides a 60-year technical warranty on its stone-coated products.
