World of Concrete returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center Jan. 20-23 with more than 1,300 leading exhibitors and an education program. Just as important are the action-packed spectator events—from decorative concrete installations to the ever-popular bricklaying competition.

Here is a complete list of the events:

SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500® World Championship

Don’t miss the 23rd anniversary of the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500^®— World of Concrete’s top attraction. Revered as the “Super Bowl of Masonry,” the competition showcases the world’s best bricklayers melding the winning combination of skill, speed and stamina. The payout—over $125,000 including a new Chevrolet 4x4 truck, Kubota RTV-X1130 utility vehicle, Essick Pro12 Mixer and thousands in cash and prizes. Thousands will witness 27 expert bricklayers and their rock-solid mason tenders lay it on the line for 60 minutes to take home a pile of cash, prizes and bragging rights as the best bricklayer of 2025. MCAA’s Masonry Skills Challenge

The Masonry Skills Challenge consists of masonry apprentices in first-, second- and third-year levels showcasing their training by competing against winning apprentices from other regions. The contestants put their skills to the test as they complete an unknown project without preparation or assistance. Awards are presented to the top three projects at each level. (Jan. 22)

MCAA’S Fastest Trowel on the Block

The Fastest Trowel on the Block promotes workmanship, speed and craftsmanship in masonry. Journeyman masons, accompanied by their tenders, compete in a high-speed, 20-minute challenge. The goal is to complete as much of a 30-foot-long wall as possible, using 8-inch-by-8-inch-by-16-inch CMU and mortar. The contest rewards the best mason journeymen for their hard work and dedication to the trade. (Jan. 22)
